Pure and Practical Realms, by Immanuel Kant
Pure and Practical Realms, by Immanuel Kant
Believe in God, certainly. I do.
But do not confuse your faith with reason,
Tell a lie to the murderer. I might well, too.
But know truth is never moral treason.
1) Should our human timber be crooked?
2) Should universality e'er rule?
If you've read my work, you likely took it,
To say 1 NO 2 YES. Was I the fool?
Thanks for liking my version of critique,
I have my own version of your self doubt,
Was my striving against bias unique?
I'd say not, there's much in me to call out.
We're torn between pure and practical realms,
We have two captains manning diff'rent helms.
