Freud's Last Words to Tocqueville (Synthesis)

I've cooled down from the letter I showed you,

I'm calmer now about our U.S. friends,

Their ethics are mostly good, if not true,

Conducive more than ours to happy ends.

The family's the crucial institution,

That's espec'ially so in regard to love,

The American's have a solution,

Taloned hawk--be nice!  Act like cooing dove.

Fam'ly love is full of bad S & M,

The bad seed of love needs to be repressed,

Americans have tried--credit to them,

Age-old injustice they've partly redressed.

Love is a duty, like work it's complex,

Bright-side SIRU helps save all of our necks.
