Words Unspoken

Opposite-sex conversations were good.

All four nodes had sparks, communication.

But the two same-sex nodes were dead dry wood.

Silent, vuln'rable to conflagration.

So it seemed back then, but now I wonder,

Did you two have chats unbeknownst to me?

Did you talk, repair what was asunder?

Don't answer!  I prefer uncertainty.

Did S and I meet, unknown to you two,

Shake hands, vow to renew our marriages?

May all lips be sealed 'til we all turn blue,

May privacy curtain our carriages.

Silently, D and W root for S and P,

Silently, P and S root for W and D.
