Muhammad

Did You hear God at night inside the cave,

And then incant His words for All to know?

Me lotus-legged in My Maine architrave,

Says, "Yes!  You dreamed a vision that was so."

***

The cold surf crashes over My dark eyes,

Me must depart before the tide is full,

Me dream of You, Your Hand inside My thighs,

Me desert-drawn, Me feel the bright stars' pull.

***

May prophesy be manifest, not hid,

May speaking God be truth, not manic sin,

May God Me speak as truly as You did,

Equality--it is Submission's twin.

***

If only for one hour, for one day,

In Maine and Mecca, We are One.  We lay.
