An Ode to a Local Businessperson
Business visionaries are divisive, They're in it for money! No, not at all! They need to make rules, to be decisive, To believe they're doing it for a song. Many years back, in a long past season, A visionary came to our small town, He's great! He gave Orange rhyme and reason. He stinks! His houses are all falling down. Your business is in one of his spaces, You're an inheritor of his civic dreams, Of commerce, of art, of social spaces, Of love conjoined with economic schemes. He's long gone now but he lives in you still, As you will live in me, come what will.
